Tajwīd literally means doing something nice and beautiful or good and arguing, Tajwid comes from Jawwada in Arabic. In Qiraah's science, Tajwid means removing the letters from his place by giving his properties. So the science of tajwid is a science that learns how to sound or speak the letters contained in the Holy Quran or not.
As for the problems presented in this science are letters (letters of letters), shifatul letters (letters of pronunciation), letters (letters between letters), Ahkamul maddi wal qasr (long and short speech), Ahkamul Waqaf wal ibtida '(starting and stopping readings) and al-al-utsmani.
Another meaning of the science of tajwid is to deliver the best and most perfectly presented from every recitation of the Quranic verse. The scholars say that the law to study the tajwid is obligatory but practicing tajwid while reading the Quran is obligatory or compulsory for men and women who are mukallaf or adult.
